Hope

If you put your hope in someone who can't walk on water, don't be surprised if he sinks.

"Hope" is the thing
with feathers –
That perches in the soul –
And sings the tune
without the words –
And never stops at all.

- Emily Dickinson

Hope: a word which has been defined by theologians, beautified by poets and held tightly by anyone who has walked through the shallowest of valleys.

Websters dictionary defines it: 1. "to cherish a desire with anticipation." 2. "trust (archaic)"

The fact that "trust" is considered an "archaic" definition speaks something on it's own. However, on the subject at hand, one of my biggest "beefs" with a certain election is the way that the archaic definition of the word hope seems to be resurrected in a person.

That's all. ;)

That said, an elected official will hold his/her 100% approval rating for their office until they prove otherwise.

Jon, I will take that as a double...oh wait...is that double to the third power? Or three times two? Anyway, I think I better use some Amazon points to get that book!

Hope is something that has been in my quite thoughts for quite some time now. (even since before election time)
