Where have I been?

You mean I forgot to tell you about our cruise?
Actually I have been avoiding the idea of coming up with things to say outside the happenings of the upcoming month. To be quite honest, where the world of blogging is concerned I have preferred isolation. Perhaps that is due to the fact that blogs are for conveying our thoughts and happenings... and this past week or so has been a week of "I don't know what to think." No one told me that the time between court and travel would be so excruciating as we wait for Noah to be in our arms. Add that to the cold feet about taking Oliver to Africa and leaving our other two behind...along with the constant headaches from descending wisdom teeth and you might understand.

Our days have been one big scramble of dentist appointments, dr. appointments, travel planning, and cat herding. (Try to take three children to that many appointments and you will understand the cat herding part.)

Overall...I could say that my son reflects me well in the following picture. I will try to continue to blog, but be warned...they may be few and far between.

(By the way, Max fell asleep while we were "practicing for church")

You're doing great, Jodi. In the time you would use for blogging, find a quiet spot to "Be still, and know that I am God". He will direct your thoughts, calm your fears, and give the grace and peace to continue with enthusiasm. And, ask that dentist for some pain medication! Love and prayers, Mom

PS I love the Max picture and the fact that he was practicing for church. And herding cats..... that was my laugh of the morning.

I am praying peace for you today my dear friend, also that God would miracously remove the pain from your teeth!! He is a great God able to more than we can even believe to imagine and I am praying that this day He would impart a special blessing in your life!

Amen to what Coraly said.

I love you dear sister.

I decided to "practice church" as you recommended and Dominic said, "Mama, where's the 'church guy'?" (as he calls our pastor)

Hey, falling asleep is perfect practice for church.

God bless you. Certainly don't worry about keeping up with the blogging. I'm sure there will be stretches where I have little if nothing to say. People got along for centuries without blogs.

Of course, they did write letters almost daily.

So maybe this blogging thing is kind of a return to the good ol days? At least if you do it right?

Hmmm...

At any rate, peace be with you.

from Romans 8

15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. 24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because F32 he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Yes, once you know he's yours, the wait gets harder! Praying all travel plans will fall together nicely,

I don't blame you one bit Jodi... I don't know how you managed to keep it up so regularly and creatively till now.

Many times I find hanging on the computer for long periods of time can actually increases my stress level. Make a cup of tea, read a book...get some sleep. The Lord will work everything out in His perfect timing. Is He ever wrong?

Keep heart...soon you will be on that plane bringing home Noah and all this agony will be a distant memory.
