Dear Aidan,
We were reading today and Jake got a kick out of this poem. He thought it sounded like something you would also find funny and he requested that I put it on our blog for you. I hope you enjoy:
The Lost Cat
We can't find the cat,
We don't know where she's at,
Oh where did she go?
Does anyone know?
Let's ask that walking hat.

I'll show this to a in the morning. He liked this one...after I told him it was a joke.
'Prayer of the Selfish Child'
Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep,
And if I die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my toys to break.
So none of the other kids can use 'em...
Amen.
Good old Shel. ;)
What a pretty blog you have! I'm glad I stumbled upon it. I'm looking forward to reading this poem to my son in the morning.
Aidan's resonse:
Ha, ha, ha (his typical Aidan laugh when something's funny). You know it.
"It's funny that is says "Let's ask that walking hat."
Me: "Why is that funny?"
A: " Because I've never seen a walking hat."
I think the illustrations help. ;)
