Quote

"It is to you that I address myself, tender and foresighted mother,* who are capable of keeping the nascent shrub away from the highway and securing it from the impact of human opinions! Cultivate and water the young plant before it dies. Its fruits will one day be your delights. Form an enclosure around your child's soul at an early date. Someone else can draw its circumference, but you alone must build the fence."

*The first education is the most important, and this first education belongs incontestable to women; if the Author of nature had wanted it to belong to men, He would have given them milk with which to nurse the children.

-Jean-Jacques Rousseau's Emile

Did you start reading it without me?

;)

What a great quote.

I did start it...at 1:00am as I was waiting for Oliver to fall asleep. Did you order it yet?

I am on a roll getting through books so I didn't want to give myself too much time between reads.

No, I didn't order it yet. I think I'll see if the library has it. You ARE on a roll. I did finish Jayber Crow and moved onto another one. But I'd really love to ready it with you. So slow down! ;)

I didn't mean "ready" it with you. I meant "read" it with you. I'm pretty edubucated here. ;)
