The Power of Play

I loved the book: getting kids out of structured environments...away from adult organized sports teams and desks all in a row...letting them be kids.

The book looks back at the days when kids joined with lots of other neighborhood kids and played pick up games with their own rules, hierarchy, and social structures. The problem is...that's just hard to find.

Some "good team, bad team" game

How many can fit on the play structure?

Words cannot express how blessed I was to see my kids playing these important games at the park today. And the four amazing mothers to visit with helped as well.

Jodi, I've been loving your school blog posts! And do I see Mr. Jackson Canfield in one of those photos?

I love it that you just allow them to be "kids". What memories they are going to have of life and of their parents. Love you so much!
