Wordless Wednesday

Yes, my blog appears to be mostly "wordless" these days. I do have thoughts...thoughts on ideal society vs. living in the society/culture you are in; thoughts on philosophies of education; thoughts on race issues; thoughts on kindergarten...but I just can't seem to find the time to sit down and formulate them. That and I am way too consumed with To Kill a Mockingbird during my free time.

It will come. For now: here's a Wordless Wednesday:

After having you spend a couple days with me I don't know how you get done what you do get done. It's amazing there's a blog, wordless or otherwise!

The picture is great. I'm sure they were wishing they could get their hands dirty right along with him - or maybe a ride on the tractor?!

Jodi,

This is supposed to be Wordless Wednesday, not apologizing for not being more wordy Wednesday.

As my dear friends who are much older say, "Your time will come."

We have to keep reminding ourselves that the season we're in is different right now. And the long moments of thoughtful solitude which lead to more developed thought will come later. Or in small epiphanal moments that surprise you....or maybe it's just that our thoughts take LONGER to develop. Just keep thinking.

Let's do coffee soon, huh?

I think what strikes me the most about this photo is how close the brothers choose sit... the princess' require space between or someone will lose their tiara or magic septer or the overabundance of fluffy dresses will touch the other setting them off. The life of a princess is rough I tell you!!! I love the peacefulness of Jake and Max longing to play in the dirt, wishing for that invatation to come and play...

Cor, yes, you often see them sitting very close. Max usually tries to get closer which often ends up in an inchworm effect.

Janine, you are right that it is a season. It isn't as though I am not developing thoughts (it feels like pregnancy and adoption brain is finally wearing off!) However, I hate to bring thoughts to a blog...an open public area...without having them clarified in a way that causes the least understanding. That is what I simply don't have time to do.
And wordless Wednesday, to me, is an attempt at photojournalism where the picture is telling the story.

Jod, At least your pregnancy brain has worn off. Annie is almost 1 1/2 and I don't think I've many clear thoughts yet. Come to think of it, my thought process hasn't been very deep since I finished college! My brain is mush. =)

My hope is that one day my two daughters can be as close as your two oldest sons. I have enjoyed watching them grow as brothers.
